fence

to and fro
the wavering wheat and grasses
run and flow
billowing in a stream of consciousness
the integral goal
to find a place i may create with colors dancing
upon a crest of breath and growth
tossing each meandering cluster
which with textures convey are ever-lasting
foliage so cold into December, red wood alight like
coal turned embers
purple orange green and blue well-worn of earthly disguise
cooled in winter the moment full of splendor in the stalks
and grasses and reeds
shimmering in moon-drenched thought to ponder, perchance
to paint good times as one of these.
