looking for snow

looking for
snow
too warm
for flakes
no frozen lakes
but for rain
dreaming of
a white Christmas
sincere in the sheer
serenity
the horn of plenty
the doe and the deer
aren’t as cold
this time of year
the season
coming up reticent
give thanks to be
a part of history
in a story of the glory
of a mystery
all over the countryside
on lands far and wide
pick up your drum
The Lord is born
parumpapapum
with so much empathy
encourage the energy
there is no enemy
blessed by faith
ever humbled by grace
there is peace in every child’s face
in a prayer from the bottom of your heart
to save life on the planet
the very best you may
that the lion may lay down
with the lamb
someday

Amen
