the marvel

love revolves
the earth around the sun
profound
upon the ruthless rigorous rain as rainbows shine in the light of day
an ocean belonging to the foam
race waves forward
shores brace for storms late in season swept away the kelp and brine
to harbor relic ships tied to
rocks jut out by the jetty,
erodes the roads to pristine ivory sands
in a pitch so high the angry waters thrash-then without delay-recede
as if to die-the delirious flails
send a simmered tepid wind

to touch her soul, to say I’m
sorry, relieve this ancient child
that sees her in a
delicate light-I am
grateful for her, she is
luminescent
a star before the dawn
in a translucent sky
the marvel of sparkle
in her eyes.
