wind blows

wind blows
shelter in the hollow of a tree
embark cold
never get to the root
fruit too hard to swallow
swallows in a tree
small against the leaves
fall to earth tremble breath
night mask a need
fly away to the sea
waves crash
alone to face eternity
your voice a sacred memory
the tide is low the beaches empty
without a word of empathy
embarrassed lethargy
turn thought to loss of levity
I turn to you in summer
I ask you for serenity
to save me from my world
coming to an end
I need you my dear friend
and never as an enemy
your guidance exemplary
a star on my horizon
as gifted as a wiseman
thank you for the kindness of years
I keep you in my heart that fill with tears.
