• wind blows

    wind blows
shelter in the hollow of a tree
    embark cold
    never get to the root
    fruit too hard to swallow
    swallows in a tree
    small against the leaves
    fall to earth tremble breath
    night mask a need
    fly away to the sea
    waves crash
    alone to face eternity
    your voice a sacred memory
the tide is low the beaches empty
    without a word of empathy
    embarrassed lethargy
turn thought to loss of levity
I turn to you in summer
    I ask you for serenity
to save me from my world
    coming to an end
I need you my dear friend
    and never as an enemy
    your guidance exemplary
    a star on my horizon
    as gifted as a wiseman
thank you for the kindness of years
I keep you in my heart that fill with tears.

  • happy new year

    the end of 2016
    ancient hours dated
    the moon and stars placated
    the year all but faded
    good luck
    through winter wood
    avenues toy with
    store front joy
    lights on every tree
self imposed I compose a cozy prose
putting up the heat I am too cold
wake me from my sleeping soul
    walk across a dream
    with hugs & kisses
    for
    a happy healthy 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    all the love,
    junebug

  • Merry Christmas

    joy in the celestial
    bring 3 wisemen ephemeral
    from farthest hills
    walk the dusty plain
    call out His name
The Lord is born in Bethlehem
    rejoice rejoice the people have
    one voice
music flow like water to the sea
tears of thanks wash over me
    river banks beckon no regret
    bright star shine
    the night
    is calm
    Mary with the child
    in her arms.

  • in wake of ocean depth blue sky

in wake of ocean depth blue sky
upon water cry tears of rain from heaven
the benevolent good stood to understand an understated favor fated by the greater sweeping of His hand-elated beaming moon lit night stars bright kiss the dark, invite the dawn to come along in swirling storm a surly sea born the fathoms sanctity-the sun subdued a grayest hue replaces you but black and cloudy doubtful day recede to grieve the bay, it seem time lost in rhyme stir the spray-undercurrents play overtures the pounding surf suck the surface of turf hurl a world away, seagull dive to stay alive finding fish that way, fly distant reaches geese go in a row to warmer beaches-above the horizon shining in moon glow shimmer golden
    glimmer snow in winter.

  • innocence

    innocence may a sin
    spring carol in the wind
    blessed the heart may sing
    give us this yearling linger
    hearts and flowers bring
    yearning nor the nought
    Angel wing
    upon the Heath reason wreck
    the churlish golden ring
    support the beam
    of moon and dream
    tiring refrain
to end the war before the thaw
    come winter once again.

  • heart of sea – for Deepthi

star above earth below stormy night heart of sea
beauty bound tremor found as she

    embark green stem
    leaves surrender september

    barren tree lay bare
    in the unseen twilight

    the moon unassume
    move an ocean wave
    half full-cool looming
    in time to bind

    crystal clear ocean air
    random mellow fair
    harbor hail
    boat of mast and sail
    along frail coastal freedom

light the day perfect in a rose
    enable those rare memories
    in everything you choose
revel in the heart and mind

fresh flowers cut from the garden
a loved one deep as grace embrace
    feel the love receive gently
    call twilight never break

    starlight comfort you
    wind hug you tenderly
    take away your fear
    the sunset in the west
    moon ascend.

  • stalk and grass

    antelope stream stream
    stalk and grass daybreak wake
lift the wind to see the seas
    blow the golden coastline shake
    November to an April freeze
then come what May tears of joy
    water spill from her eyes
    a new season
    touch lips that grin
    in a suggestion

stare stars fail to see cares
    too late to worry change
    encourage raging rain
    enfold the sweep of grain
    protective soil carry weight
    fixed tight
    picture of the paint

    world power of prayer
    cloister careless angst christen repair
    cast away despair
    mystery
sink softly moonlit night tears pour no more
    speak plain blue skies soar
    thunder strike twilight
hurt will pain until an endless sunny day
    emotion blow up fields
    dark golden light bathe
    into sunset
    night promise dawn
    bird sing bright regard
    familiar one with God.

    Amen.

  • vex – self portrait

    vex tears pour race escape
the deplorable chore of my face
    bog fog sock-lock on shore
    heart shatter core
for where are there rays of light
    praise the dawn shrug night
    entangle integral terrible throng
thugs will mug me when i’m wrong
    indelible inkling write passage
    scripted miscarriage
    encrypted ravage
    patch a batch of cabbage
    you starry eyed savage
    shockingly disparage
peace & love of the Sabbath
    bathe in foibles end morals
    force compromise no promises
    melancholy kind immature
